State Corporations

The Bill introduces a new subsection 2A to set a term limit of three years for chief executives of State Corporations, renewable for one further term, and provides transitional provisions so that the legislation applies prospectively for new appointments or renewal of contracts for current serving chief executives.

Provides for the conduct of public participation; gives effect to the constitutional principle of participation of the people; requires responsible authorities to facilitate public participation, give notice, allow submissions and reasonable time, process responses, facilitate access to processes and documents, and develop specific guidelines.
