The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026

Summary

Amends the principal Act to streamline the operations of the Institute: replaces “Director” with “Chief Executive Officer”; replaces the membership of the Council; provides for committees and panels; repeals section 18; provides for Cabinet Secretary consultation with the Council when making regulations; provides for accreditation of institutions and persons wishing to develop curricula and programmes for use in basic education; and provides for transitional matters.
