The National Coroners Service Bill, 2026

Summary

Establishes the National Coroners Service and provides for post-mortem investigations, including mandatory investigations of deaths suspected to be criminal and reportable deaths; transfer of bodies into and out of Kenya; disposal permits, exhumation and recovery of cremated remains; costs of post-mortem examinations borne by the State; and repeal of the National Coroners Service Act (Cap. 89).
