The Teachers Service Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2026

Summary

Amends the Act to provide for registration and compliance, qualifications for registration, teaching standards and professional development, teacher management, performance management and capacity building, the Institute of Teacher Support and Professional Development, optimal utilization and promotion of teachers, disciplinary control, review of discipline decisions, further offences and revised penalties, additional disciplinary offences, and minimum entry requirements to qualify for registration as a teacher.
